ElecTrip app for iPhone and iPad

The ElecTrip app logs the bus route while the traveler is riding the bus. Once the trip is finished the ElecTrip app analyzes the route data to generate the energy required to provide the bus service. The energy is used to calculate the fuel and electricity consumption of different bus technologies. The energy is also used to calculate the emissions of the greenhouse gas CO2 and hazardous emissions of Nitrogen Oxides and Particulates.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
